Inspiration can come from many modalities, many forms. Inspiration can come from literature, movies, quotes, moments, art, writing, people, history, et al. But regardless of what inspires you, something does. Let us focus on art, on the unleashment of an individual’s creative potential.
Art comes in many forms. Art comes through painting, singing, dancing, writing and so on. Art mirrors life in many ways. When civilizations are at their highest points, art is wondrous, and when they are their lowest, art is incredibly ugly. History bears this out. At the center of this is the individual.
The individual, and their penchant for creation, is one of the fuels of life. An individual’s inspiration reservoir is like an ocean of gasoline, holding endless potentiality. All it needs is one match, one source of inspiration to light that fire, and the whole ocean will ignite. Art is one of the matches that lights that ocean of gasoline, that ocean of endless potentiality within the individual. This is one of the many reason why art, and individuals, are so incredibly fascinating.
How does art ignite inspiration? To answer this, let’s take a dive into Peter Kreeft’s notable book, The Philosophy Of Tolkien – The Worldview Behind The Lord Of The Rings and what he states within it:
“Art is very different from science in that it creates worlds; it creates meaning and beauty and forms and structures and natures, while science discovers them.”[1][Bold Emphasis Added][Peter Kreeft, The Philosophy Of Tolkien – The Worldview Behind Lord Of The Rings, pg 43.
Art creates worlds, and art is created by individuals, The individuals create worlds, it is the individual that also can be an inspiration for others, countless others. History – one of life’s best teachers – shows this clearly.
But art also creates meaning and beauty, and in that beauty, life becomes deeper, grander, more meaningful. This is one of the vanguard reasons why life can be so wondrous.
Remaining inspired, remaining motivated, is not easy however. Modern life with its endless twists and turns is a veritable rollercoaster, with turns that send off us in new directions even when we don’t want to. Life will always be that way but remaining motivated and inspired need not be.
What motivates individuals vastly differs, but whatever does motivate and inspire you should be ruminated upon greatly, for those are the elements that feed your being – feed your soul. This gives you an endless well from which to draw energy from, from which to experience life. If this well is always full, if you remain inspired, you can accomplish anything, create anything. This creative potential is one of life’s gifts. These gifts lead to growth, irrevocable growth.
This is because art, just like life, especially when facing adversity, requires focus, relentless patience, and mindfulness of the actions we take. These very steps – these choices – accrue overtime and help us grow at deeper levels than ever before. The more consideration, thoughtfulness and care is taken in the consideration of these choices, the greater the growth will be.
Thus, not only is art inspiring and motivating, but it can even lead to resounding levels of growth by its very nature and the requirements it entails. Life also does that as well.
Now I ask again: what inspires you?
In inspiration – whatever inspiration may be – you will find growth, and in that growth, you will fluoresce to become a stronger you in ever way.
Inspire yourself and become motivated. Or motivate yourself and become inspired. There are various doors to enter from, but they all lead to growth – resounding growth.
Growth that changes your choices.
Growth that changes your journey.
Growth that changes your life.
Growth that changes you. Forever.

It’s why we have muses brought down from the ancient Greeks to inspire us.

That’s a very refreshing take on it. In fact, it reminds me of a post I wrote a few years back. I might share it in this blog. It’s essentially about my ‘muse’ arriving at my doorstep. It has splashes of humor and such, but it’s more of a fun post with creative writing than anything. Appreciate your constant support by the way. You rock!

I made an effort to keep myself occupied and to improve my mental health as I was so bad last year.

I love your approach to inspiration. Most people limit their inspiration to speeches, books and biography. Your approach brings an ecstatic atmosphere. Thank you for sharing this.
