Frightening forms bring lightning storms of devastation
My soul collapses & then swiftly relapses in trepidation

Zy Marquiez | The Lightning Baron

Author’s Note:

The frightening forms are the stormclouds, which are metaphorical for feeling despair.  Swiftly relapsing in trepidation is being overwhelmed by fear.

This was written a few days ago where my concern for my Mom was much greater than now, though still not gone completely.
