I am incredibly torn with this book, and I will expound upon that in a moment.

Anyone that’s read this blog for any decent length of time will know that there’s not really any topic that isn’t discussed, or at least considered, at some point.  Granted, some specific topics are mainstays given how much power they give individuals, but analyzing or at least pondering other topics that aren’t mainstream is just as important, if not more so, given some of the darker things that they may cover.

There are quite a few books that cover some really complex and intriguing subjects such as UFOs, Breakaway Civilizations and so on, but I usually stick only to the main ones I trust that are essentially written in an academic way, meaning that they are footnoted to the hilt and these aren’t just random allegations but books that deal mostly, if not downright completely with declassified government documents that can be verified.

Why is that important?  Because it leads to veracity and the quality of knowledge that an individual is using.  Witness testimony is nothing without some hard evidence in any regular case, but more so when one is dealing with abstruse subjects such as UFOs, the Paranormal, Breakaway Civilizations and so on.  That is why I am incredibly careful in what I read, and even more careful in what I recommend.

That is because (1) not only do I value people’s time, but if you are going to delve head first into topics with complexities as vast as a growing ocean, (2) you want to give individuals information that’s at the very topic of the knowledge pyramid, no matter if it is education, propaganda, alternative science, history, and so on.  Sometimes this information isn’t available, but many times it is.  In fact, many times you would be surprised what’s right out in the open for you to see, it’s just that you need to know where to look.

Now, every so often, books are published that are downright disinformation, misinformation, propaganda, and the like.  My contention is that Sekret Machines: Gods: Volume 1 Of Gods Man & War by Tom DeLonge and Peter Levenda is one of these books.

It pains me to say this because I have read almost all of Peter Levenda’s books, and I do wholeheartedly know that he is a great researcher.  In all honesty, I believe that in this case, Levenda was swept up in this by Tom DeLonge and the people behind them.  This is a whole different can of worms though, and one that will be too long to discuss in this review.

I open with this preamble because, in its totality, Sekret Machines: Gods: Volume 1 Of Gods Man & War is ‘good’ book, but in a very superficial sense, just how good propaganda is.  It’s good enough to convince the majority of people that don’t educate themselves on the subject, but everyone that’s had extensive views into certain subject matter will see right through lies and/or certain omissions being made.

At first, having been familiar with some of Levenda’s work, and others such as Richard Dolan, Jim Marrs, etc. this book held a lot of promise for me.

The book does bring about a considerable amount of information on the subject of the UFOs from a broad point of view.  Throughout the book, the authors present considerable information that couples to everything from the paranormal, ancient civilizations, the occult, and more. The authors do a fair job of supplanting the book with a veritable amount of sourced material. This definitely gives the book some veracity.

Footnotes are detailed at the end of each chapter.  This footnoting format certainly streamlines access to that information and is very much appreciated. The only one better would be with footnotes at the bottom of the page, since it is the most efficient and used to be how it was done a long time ago.

As an introductory volume the topics of UFOs, the book does a decent job. The book could have been better, but it could have certainly been worse. The best book out there as an introductory volume to the phenomenon is hands down Richard Dolan’s UFOs For The 21st Century Mind: A Fresh Guide To An Ancient Mystery.  I can’t recommend this book enough for people looking for a boiled down, no-nonsense academic take on the subject of UFOs.  Those seeking a more solid foundation from which to jump-off are highly encouraged to ruminate upon that book.

Let’s now venture into the low-points of the book.

The book features sections that could have been better served by some serious editing of run on sentences that give Hemingway a run for his money that are incredibly distracting and take away from the core content.

Also, one particular point that was quite disconcerting is the fact that the authors take a unilateral point of view of making it seem like UFOs can only be explained by the alien mythos. While this is certainly one possibility, and one with some solid grounding, it is not the only one.  Be that as it may, Richard Dolan, Dr. Joseph P. Farrell, Walter Bosley, and others have come up with an equally arguable case that argues for human ingenuity as one possible way to explain some UFOs.

Additionally, when one couples the possibility of human ingenuity with certain incisive and downright disturbing issues such as Military Abductions [MILABS] then one gets to see shades of the possible darker sides of an already esoteric subject.

The point of me stating this is not to convince anyone of one possibility or another, far from it. It’s simply to put light to the fact that there’s extensive evidence by Dolan, Farrell, Bosley and others,  which shows an alternative to the unilateral assertion that extraterrestrials are behind ‘everything’, which some schools of thought believe, and others, want you to believe.

Why would the latter want you to believe that?  Because if you were to conduct a clandestine, off-the-books operation, that required resources in the billions (and we’re being conservative), required black tech, and a parallel financial system to run it, you would want to blame E.T. and his gang.  In other words, if you are a corrupt group with resources as touched upon above, E.T. is the perfect cover for you to get away with everything.

Is that quite a stretch?  You tell me.  Is it really that far out to believe that corrupt people, that care nothing about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and only care for profits and control are beyond using advanced technology and untold money to get what they want?  Is that really THAT hard to believe?

The question isn’t whether people wouldn’t do it, of course some would do it.  The question is whether or not the technology and financial capabilities are there.  Catherine Austin Fitts has already been proven right when it was verified by Dr. Mark Skidmore, that 21 Trillion Dollars was outright missing.  Fitts’ hypothesis is that the money is actually in the 40-50 Trillion dollar range.  And the 21 Trillion missing is public information.

So we know money is missing, in orders of magnitude should be nigh unbelievable.  And if you want to learn about the technological capabilities, Dr. Farrell has down yeomen’s work on that area.

Now, the main point is that, if 21 Trillion is Missing, and it certainly is, then let me be blunt when I say: WHOEVER CAN MAKE 21 TRILLION DISAPPEAR INTO THIN AIR CONTROLS THE DAMN WORLD, or key parts of it at least.

Some might laugh at that, but financial experts losing 21 trillion is like an Astronomer losing the Moon.  This is getting to sound so silly, it sounds like it came straight out of Despicable Me 2.

Thankfully, the Moon hasn’t been lost, but 21 Trillion has.  And do you really need THAT much money to retire and buy beach front property in the Mal Dives to get what you want?  Nay.

That’s the type of money that you would steal if say, you wanted to run a separate, off-the-books civilization – A Breakaway Civilization.  What else would you steel that much money for?  Think about it logically.  I’ll let you all ruminate upon that.

The reason this is paramount is because of E.T. being a cover for human action conducting clandestine operations.  I am not saying E.T.s do not exist, for I do believe some have made arguable cases for that.  My point is to split the ET-does-exist hypothesis, from the ET-is-behind-everything-sinister-when-it-comes-to-UFOs hypothesis.

The authors’ belief in the ET-only hypothesis is dogmatic, and it would be hard to argue against it. The fact the authors chose the “Cargo Cult” jargon for humanity speaks volumes of how low they see humanity on the totem pole, even though evidence abounds of there being more than their conformist point of view.

Plain and simple, this book has agendas behind it, and they are not hard to see, at that.  This information will become more and more crucial in the following years as things continue to happen and humanity keeps seeping into space more and more, which is one of the myriad reasons to consider what’s already on the public record on this abstruse and confounding subject.

That said, if you are seeking more solid ground that’s just as intriguing, footnoted to the hilt and not dogmatic, then please read any of the following:

And books that cover the human aspect behind part of this phenomenon:

Covert Wars And Breakaway Civilizations: The Secret Space Program, Celestial Psyops & Hidden Conflicts by Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
Covert Wars & Clash Of Civilizations: UFOs, Oligarchs and Space Secrecy Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
Origin: The 19th Century Emergence Of The 20th Century Breakaway Civilizations by Walter Bosley.

The incredibly frustrating part is that the scope of this phenomenon is wider and more intriguing than what many people state it is, or think it is. That’s why the books above are mentioned, for those seeking further information in order to be able to decide for themselves whether ET really is the only actor in this stage, or if there’s more than meets the eye here.

Ultimately, what you think is up to you. But to be able to come to a decision one has to know the resources available, and at least now some of you know part of what’s out there and can make up their own mind on the matter.
