In this video I talk about the importance of keeping away from bad habits, and how those can often curtail not only growth, but opportunities in the future. Concurrent with that, I delve into the fact that one simple way that people could fight the system of corporate greed, the tapeworm, the powers that be, is by cutting out bad habits. The system runs on your our energy, and arguably all of our bad habits. How we choose to allocate our energies and resources has a lot more power than many realize. Or to put it differently: If we all do a little, we can do a lot.
Note 1: When I mention that I was able to stay away from bad habits, I meant really bad habits, habits that could not only compromise your health but also your finances. That said, I did have some bad habits, its just that those habits didn’t compromise my future, though they were certainly detrimental nonetheless. Also, there are many other players that were able to succeed and either stay in online poker, or launch businesses and so on. My main point is that the main trait all of us players had was incredible self control, which was what allowed all of us to be able to play for a long time amid a lifestyle that offers temptation around every corner. And staying away from bad habits is something that’s not only simple, but anyone else can do in society as well, which is why I made the video in the first place.
Note 2: Though I didn’t voice it incisively, the vanguard reason why I decided to venture beyond online poker and start the small business I did was because my health was more important than anything that poker could provide. Poker being a high stress game and incredibly demanding, it didn’t fair well with my disease given how much stress affects me.
