Conformity Crisis: The Use Of Labels In Society | #Conformity | #SocialEngineering

One of the pillars of conformity is politics.

Furthermore, another of the biggest hints that conformity exists is the fact that there are ‘only’ two mainstream political ideologies – as if there ever truly were or ever will be just two. Of course, each all-encompassing ideology is an umbrella in which a variety of degrees of beliefs gravitate towards. These umbrella catch-all tenets are the way in which people are precisely controlled.

Put yourself in the comptroller’s shoes. What would be easier to do, to pin two sides against each other? Or to pin hundreds, thousands of different ideologies against each other? They couldn’t. It would be impossible. It would take exponentially more time/energy/resources than it does now for the establishment. That just wouldn’t be efficient.

Its always easier to control groups, then it is to control individuals. This is because the incisive individual is the pillar of society. He is the exception to all conformity rules.

That is why there is a constant assault manipulating reality for the individual on a daily basis.

One will rarely ever hear mainstream media expound upon how a person carried out a certain crime. Negative. That’s not ‘part of the plan’.

Something more subtle, yet still deviously sophisticated is what does take place; labeling said individual. This happens all of the time. There are countless examples of this.

Any particular issue that takes place, can never be just a person. The person that committed the crime becomes a symbol by the media. Quickly, one will hear the words black/white muslim/christian left-wing/right-wing and all those permutations in an effort to fan the flames of the divide and conquer left vs. right paradigm. This serves to socially engineer society into whatever agenda the comptrollers wish to focus on. This also forgoes most logical debates as people focus on the wrong thing, the label, rather than the alleged perpetrator as a person.

The closer a group operates to individual mentality, the stronger it will be. The farther it delves from individual mentality, the weaker it will become and the easier it will be to be manipulated. This is classic groupthink.

That is why umbrella-terms are oft-used or created and at times even subverted to serve a more duplicitous purpose.

It should be clear by now to those that have done their homework and have been paying attention how disastrous and misleading focusing on labels can be.   Still, this takes place far more than people realize.  In fact, it’s become so common place and automatic people don’t even contemplate anything but using labels most of the time.

This happens all over mainstream circles, and even to a large extent within alternative ranks as well. The latter is very frustrating personally, because those are folks that constantly are quick to label people i.e. sheep, whilst they themselves claim to be enlightened. Yet, by conforming to the system that the comptrollers indulge in, it shows how ‘awake’ certain folks truly are. Besides, demeaning others is one sure way to get them to open up to you. That was sarcasm by the way.

Don’t fall for the divide and conquer left/right paradigm.

Forgo the insidious use of labeling.

Be specific. Be precise.

Please always keep in mind the words of John F. Kennedy:

“Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.”

Note:

I do understand that sometimes the use of a label or stereotype is inevitable.  My point is merely for people to be cognizant that many times the media focuses on the label, rather than the larger issue at hand.  Moreover, you can be sure that if the fires of division are being stoked, the label is the tip of the spear in that particular circumstance.

Poker & Life: Pulling The Mask Card, Wearing The Poker Face | #Culture | #Poker | #Life

In poker, like in life, people wear masks.  In both, every single individual wears masks of different types.  Due to that, when individuals do decide to pull the proverbial ‘Mask Card’ from the poker deck of life is an intriguing proposition to consider.

Some of these masks are worn as a defense mechanism; some are worn to hide pain; some wear masks  to cover up myriad emotions; some wear them only with dealing with specific people; others wear masks to get through the bog that life can provide at times; others wear masks simply because they’ve worn it all their lives and got used to them and forgot they were masks all along.

Nigh ever individual can relate to many or most of the above.  Irrespective of reasons, masks are something that help individuals fight through the tides of the day, battle the waves that are ceaseless as we drift among the seas of life.

My argument is not that masks do not have a place, not at all.  How people live their life’s is their business.  I am merely bringing up this topic because I feel it deserves discussion, or at least ponderance at length.

Due to recent circumstances the last few days dealing with worries and concerns I’ve found myself under some of the premises above.  In fact, sometimes, it’s very easy to forget you have a mask on.  That said, it often takes someone you know to realize something is amyss before you yourself realize it, or some random circumstance that reminds you, “Hey, you still have that mask on, don’t forget.”

Some people might argue, shouldn’t you be authentic the whole time?  What is the use of masks?  One moment, and we will address that in a bit.

First: Riddle me this batman: do you know of any single place in which people are 100% authentic, and if so, what takes place in that locale?  Ponder that for a minute.

With the above in mind, my contention that follows is that people wear masks all the time, for the most part.  Some might instantly argue, “Well how do YOU know what most people do?”

It’s not just me that knows, but many people in fact, those that are least exposed to it.  What do I mean by this?

What’s the one place where individuals can see people of myriad backgrounds showing their true colors?  Facebook.  People will do and say things on Facebook that they would never carry out in ‘real life’ in a million years.  Keyboard cowboys abound many screens, and trolls are out in force.  There is no better place to see what people will do when they do not wear masks than on Facebook and social media.

There is no better place to see this war rage between individuals in myriad social strata than in Facebook, it’s always an endless flame war.  Words said in endless waves of anger, tirades made from the most hateful thoughts that individuals can manifest, all of which lead to no understanding, no common ground under which to move forward.  While many arguments aren’t that intense, a lot of arguments hold no regard for human dignity and respect.  This is (1) a failure of communication, (2) culture principles, (3) common sense, (4) education, (5) and the manipulation of the divide and conquer left-right paradigm.  Each of those incisive elements, concurrent with other ones, al provide the veritable foundation upon which the flame wars burn and lead to the very division that the powers that be revel in.

All social media platforms provide a veritable armor under which most people feel safe to share their true feelings; feelings that many times people wouldn’t share with complete strangers in real life but waste not a nanosecond in telling strangers online in far larger numbers.  This is not everyone, not by a long shot, but a sizeable part of individuals on social media platforms do this.

This type of circumstance seems to showcase why masks in society have a place.

Imagine what would happen if people went around their days doing in real life what they do in social media?  To say all hell would brake lose, would be putting it lightly.

Such circumstances show why maybe its okay for people to be a little reserved in their thoughts by wearing masks.  Not because they shouldn’t air out their thoughts, but the way it’s done is nothing but adding gasoline to fires that will never be put out, not under the current circumstances.

Perhaps its just how society is evolving with the fusion of traditional communications with social media platforms, perhaps its something else.  But the same way that masks help society from becoming overly antagonistic (in modern times at least), masks help individuals from having to deal with uncomfortable situations that they understandably don’t want to deal with [1][2].

With the above in mind, we can gather that masks certainly have a place in society.  When an individual chooses to wear is their business, but to say that masks have no place in society is akin to saying people have no right to privacy, or people on poker tables shouldn’t have a poker face.

___________________________________________________________

[1] I say, ‘In modern times at least’, because I think that if we were to take individuals from a century ago and transpose them on modern social media, the discussions that would take place would blow out of the water anything people do in modern times.  The average discussion would be much more enlightening because they were a culture of character, and not a culture of personality.  The distinction of this was learned by me from Susan Cain’s phenomenal book on introverts called Quiet – The Power Of Introverts In A World That Can’t Stop talking, though the idea stems from another author.  Psychologist Cain expounds upon it saliently, however.  This book is highly recommended.

[2] This was reference with me not wanting to vent with certain people in person about my current situation, though I did and do certainly vent to others.

[3] I deliberately used the Phantom Of The Opera type of mask in the post as a symbol for the individual having to wear a masks throughout most of life, just like in the story.  Moreover, I love the mask because (1) I enjoy ever variation of the Phantom Of The Opera Story, whether it is the movie, the play, the video game, or in a book; (2) the opera and story make a great metaphor for life, and (3) the mask serves as a fantastic representation for Halloween, which is my second favorite Holiday between Thanksgiving and Summer time.  I would also like to write an analysis on this story and turn it into a much larger metaphor, but we will see about that.

Piercing Perspective #3: The Divide & Conquer Left | Right Paradigm

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil.”

Given the enormous amount of division taking that has been growing over the last few decades, it seemed prudent to take a gander at the Divide & Conquer Left-Right Paradigm again.

Nowhere was the socially engineered fracturing of the populace more obvious then within the bowels of social media, where individuals of all walks of life were attempting to make other people conform to their points of views.  It is a quite unfortunate state of affairs that people’s virtues have declined so much to even ruminate on such possibilities.

Divide and conquer is a concept that takes an enormous portion of the populace’s time, and yet, receives no attention from mainstream media, and barely even the alternative media.

What exactly is this system-installed and bifurcated left-right paradigm?

To simplify, the left-right paradigm is a concept from political sciences and anthropology which proposes that societies have a tendency to divide themselves into ideological opposites.

That’s certainly one way to look at it.

Another way of viewing this would be proposing the establishment carries out this division on purpose to make it seem like there are only two sides to every debate, thus making the populace a lot more malleable and easier to control.  After all, two sides are magnitudes easier to control than say, hundreds, or thousands of individual groups.   Rarely are things as such.

First things first, let’s take a cursory glance at some – although certainly not all – of the permutations that the left/right paradigm is often bandied as. Being cognizant of these will make it easier for an individual to center their mind onto particular divisive agendas that are taking place within the media.

The Left/Right paradigm includes, but is not limited to:

– Back people vs. White people
– Muslim vs. Christians
– Republicans vs. Democrats
– East vs. West
– US vs. Russia/China
– US vs. Middle East
– Poor vs. Rich
– Liberals vs. Conservatives [could dovetail into politics, but it need not]
– Religion vs. Atheism
– Gay vs. Straight
– Women vs. Men
– Young vs. Old
– Prolife vs. Prochoice

There are many more derivatives, but those examples are some of the most salient ones out there.

In any case, take a good minute or two to ponder at that list again. What don’t you notice anywhere?

The individual.

To those in power, the individual is antithetical to the establishment’s plans.  The individual is a rebel, someone to be avoided at all cost.  This is why from youth, particularly through schooling, society has been indoctrinated to conform to fit within these divide and conquer structures that fracture the populace.

A keen glance at how the system operates is crucial in order to understand the full breadth and scope of this issue.  For this we will take a gander at some snippets provided by John Taylor Gatto’s system breaking book, Dumbing Us Down The Hidden Curriculum Of Compulsory Schooling.

Below are a handful of the many countless passages within the book that speak a length about how this pervasive and derisive divide and conquer issue takes place beginning in childhood, brought about through public schooling:

“It is absurd and anti-life to be part of the system that compels you to sit in confinement with people of exactly the same age and social class.  That system effectively cuts you off from the immense diversity of life and the synergy of variety; indeed it cuts you off from your own past and future, sealing you in a continuous present much the same way television does” [1][Bold Emphasis Added]

Not allowing individuals to be part of other points of views in life, to diversity – other shades in the endless spectrum of life – stultifies their growth because their mind doesn’t expand as it would if they were exposed to many points of views.  Furthermore, it inculcates the meme that the box – whatever reality the comptrollers are parading around – is all there is, and anything beyond the box is to be seen as suspect.  Ideas do not get considered and creativity gets incinerated at warp speed, like a snowman in a blast furnace.

Moreover:

The highest value to the Combine [those in control] is neither democracy nor accountability, but compliance, pure and simple, and its favorite stratagem is to divide and conquer.  And if that doesn’t work, there’s always drugs.”[2][Bold Emphasis Added, Italic Emphasis In Original.]

Life a hot knife that slices through butter, this particular thought by Gatto minces no words.

The favorite strategy is divide and conquer, which undoubtedly takes place by individuals being cut out from the diversity of life and is manifested from youth by behavior that’s been socially engineered to be predictable.

This is why ultimately, freedom from conformity is as vital as ever if the individual is to survive and keep their inherent nature, and if society is going to shed the shackles of division that benefit the comptrollers.

In fact, being free and not conforming and melting into the collective was so important, that Thomas Jefferson, echoed these poignant words:

I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men…where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction [to a party] is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to heaven but with a party, I would not go at all.”[Emphasis Added]

In other words, as long as the individual is lucid enough to think for themselves, and has the foresight, logic, and critical thinking needed to understand the given issues, they will be an antithesis to conformity crisis that is ever present in modern times.

The self-cognizant and critical thinking individual will never be part of the group. They will always be a person within a group, there’s a difference, and this distinction is crucial.

How can an individual rectify this relentless situation?

Perhaps it’s best to heed the words of Mortimer J. Adler & Charles Van Doren, which they shared in their notable book, How To Read A Book

The best protection against propaganda of any sort is the recognition of it for what it is.  Only hidden and undetected oratory is really insidious.  What reaches the heart without going through the mind is likely to bounce back and put the mind out of business.   Propaganda taken in that way is like a drug you do not know you are swallowing.  The effect is mysterious; you do not even know afterwards why you feel or think the way you do.“[3][Bold Emphasis Added]

A person can’t tackle issues they are blind too.

And isn’t it ironic, that people, immediately after taking a hit from the mainstream media – and even alternative media – divide and conquer left right paradigm pill, soon forgo all logic and reason, acting in primal fashion based on the box-version of reality most media parades?  It’s almost like a scheduled hatred session, not unlike hateweek in Orwell’s 1984.[4]

Knowing this, what’s an incisive individual to do?

Cut these issues off at the pass.  See the deceptions taking place by what your intuition tells you, and be wary about anything that stirs the fires of division.

Realize that following your intuition is merely the first step in a long process of growth that the individual will go through once their mind is open capable of discerning divisive mechanisms for what they are.

Once individuals fully comprehend how the system strives to use every single individual as pawns in a game, it’s easy to quit the nonsense altogether.

But more importantly, the individual should relish their inherent capability of knowing that, if they are cognizant of the modus operandi, no amount of propaganda or divisive tactics will ever seep into their mind.  Thus, this brings the ability to think lucidly, decisively, and proactively.

Breaking away into total awareness is the key.
