The dark mist formed just out of reach
And darkness stormed into the breach

Note:

Wrote this the day after my Mom was hospitalized.  Just felt downright overwhelmed at the time.  The dark mist is merely the information that you can’t grasp, thus, ‘out of reach’; the ‘stormed into the breach’ is just every negative fear about losing someone getting into your heart.

#Quote Of The Day | #Injustice | #BigGovernment | #Tyranny #Thoreau

“If the injustice is part of the necessary friction of the machine of government, let it go, let it go: perchance it will wear smooth — certainly the machine will wear out…but if it is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then i say, break the law. Let your life be a counter-friction to stop the machine. What I have to do is to see, at any rate, that I did not lend myself to the wrong which I condemn.”
– Henry David Thoreau

#Quote Of The Day | #Art | #Life | #Adventure | #MayaAngelou

“Life is pure adventure, and the sooner we realize that, the quicker we will be able to treat life as art.”
– Maya Angelou

Editor’s Note: I couldn’t help but say “Wow” and laugh when I read this considering how much I’ve been writing of late.  I had forgotten all about it until right now.  One of the myriad reasons why I appreciate Maya Angelou’s work.

#Quote Of The Day – #Freedom | #Tyranny | #Laws

“Governments claim to write endless laws to protect us.  A law for this.  A law for that.  But are they working?  I don’t think so.  The consequences are that there is a staggering loss of freedom for the individual.”
– Vince Vaughn

Caught in desolation, you are fraught with frustration
As the sparrow chased the morrow & sought rumination
