In life, there are various avenues of learning. One way is through your own inherent actions. Another conversely, is through the actions of others. As such, individuals can choose to either learn “on the job”, via experience, or choose to learn through others. That said; there is another significant option for learning. One can learn through the lens of history – the full breadth and scope the past has to offer at its fingertips. Knowing this, why not learn to mine history for its precious and timeless gems as well?

One of the best lessons the past has to offer from trailblazers of myriad types is the power of a strong mindset. Strong mindsets have been responsible for helping hone some of the most incredible individuals humanity has been privy to. Moreover, sound mindsets have helped create solutions to unimaginable circumstances, helped great nations and even solutions to problems where others saw none.

Individuals like Bruce Lee, Napoleon Hill, Zig Ziglar, Michael Jordan and countless others, have benefited greatly from a strong and sound mindset.

For instance, martial artist and philosopher Bruce Lee, once intimated:

“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”

Many limitations individuals face are self-imposed. Knowing this, the solution becomes self-evident. If we get out of our own way, we stand to gain much more than if we continue to employ detrimental thoughts that filter into every aspect of our lives. This is why everyone should begin mentally with a clean slate, where everything is possible.

Echoing Lee’s salient sentiment, Napoleon Hill, self-help author of Think And Grow Rich, once stated:

“There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.”

Both Hill and Lee were masters of their domain; both focused with precision on the crucial importance to having a proper foundation within your consciousness. Without proper scaffolding – a proper foundation – nothing sound can be constructed. Without a sound mindset, individuals can never become their highest self. Dispersing negative thoughts and behaviors is merely step one.

Every path you take, every choice you undertake, every path you create, mindset stands front and centre like a compass, keeping us in the right direction. Mindset is the ironclad anchor that holds us amidst the storm. No matter the issue, what tempestuous circumstances we face, with the proper mindset, anything can be conquered. A sound mindset is indispensable to progress and success.

As former British writer and politician Winston S. Churchill once said:

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”

Each of the paths we individually take will always contain obstacles. This is one of the beautiful conundrums of life. Obstacles, like treasure chests, bear great opportunity to be had. And only by actively engaging upon them may one reap their rewards.

Lucky for us, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. As it is, we all learn from our inherent experiences about mindset if we so choose. But when the option is available to learn proactively rather than reactively, it’s my contention that the former should the default modus operandi of individuals since one is actively taking steps towards success. Every step you move towards creating, or strengthening a sound mindset, is a step you take towards success. Be that as it may, it is your personal choice to make, and nobody can make it for you.

If and when you choose to proactively take steps, learn by osmosis, learn from the best. Find those who help hone your mind, body and spirit. Be not afraid to resonate what you’ve learned with others on your path towards a stronger, better, wiser you.
While you’re on your path, your journey, remember that others have walked the path you are walking this very moment and have found incredible success. Why not follow in their footsteps? Or better yet, why not learn from them and blaze your own trail?

No matter what, always remember these salient words by Bruce Lee:

“There are always obstacles on the road to achievement. Believe me that in every big thing or achievement there are always obstacles, big or small, and the reaction one shows to such obstacles is what counts, not the obstacle itself. There is no such thing as defeat until you admit so yourself, but not until then!”

Ultimately, all it takes is a commitment to yourself of the highest order – a commitment to your present, and primarily, your future; a commitment to your goals from which the seeds of a better life will spring. In the end, it is a commitment to a better life, a better you.

Why not start now?

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”
– Confucius

“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.”
– Leonardo Da Vinci

Getting Things Done by David Allen is a no-nonsense, thorough, accessible and easy-to-follow foray into the realm of organization.

This book is practical in that anyone from a CEO to a house-wife is able to implement its tenets, and reasonable in that it doesn’t require much complexity in its implementation and application.

Getting Things Done (GTD) as a concept is not a system, but a systematic approach into streamlining an individual’s organizational process.

Moreover, GTD streamlines an individuals organizational capabilities by optimizing different (common sense) ideas that may be carried out by individuals to facilitate their lives at many levels. And speaking from experience in having applied the suggestions of this book for nigh a year, each of these ideas when applied correctly and consistently, allows individuals the capability to tackle much more in life by removing all the mental and physical clutter that modern life contains. Following the suggestions within this book is not only simple, but practical.

One excellent example of the book’s simplest and most effective suggestion is what is called the “2-minute-rule”. In plainspeak, anything you can do in under 2 minutes should be done and not be left for a later time. Under such a mindset and given its simplicity, there’s simply no excuse to let clutter of such minute amounts accrue whatsoever. Yet, most of us have myriad to-do’s that fall under this premise. In fact, even though I apply this tenet on a daily basis, I always find myself forgetting to apply it just a little bit more. But whenever I do apply it, my desk, office area, along with my work bag end up being very streamlined and clutter-free.

Sprinkled throughout the book as well are a generous number of quotes that help drive points home. These bring a fresh change to what could sometimes be a repetitive and verbose book.

With society’s addiction to materialism and all-things-speed, coupled with the rise of various media that allows for more and more time to be phased out of an individual’s schedule, Getting Things Done is a breath of fresh air in what would otherwise be a rather asphyxiating and overbearing environment that is modern life.

As such, books like this aren’t merely something to ruminate upon, but something to take to heart. Every single person would benefits from its tenets. In fact, even children can be taught the “2-minute-rule”. The book’s ideas aren’t complicated at all, they merely require effort to bring about – the proverbial first step to get things going.

Simply stated, if you want to implement a robust, easy-to-follow and systematic and mindful approach of organization into your repertoire, this book is vital and should not be overlooked. One could go as far as saying it should be part of every company’s curriculum, or an individual’s education in general given the numerous benefits it entails.

Who This Blog Is For

MissingPuzzlePiece

“The purpose of life is a life of purpose.”
– Robert Byrne

“The most pervasive disease to plague the human race is the disease of being normal.”
– JP Sears

As a preamble, let’s preface the body of this piece with who this blog isn’t for.

This blog is not for individuals seeking the easy way out.

This blog is not for individuals that are lazy by choice and lackadaisical.

This blog is definitely not for people who value conformity in any way shape or form.

This blog is not for people who are afraid to question anything.

This blog is certainly not for individuals that just want comfort or want issues sugar coated by the media matrix.

This blog is also not for people who want pre-packaged ideas and wish not to put critical thought into understanding their reality structure.

Also, this blog is also not for individuals who don’t practice self-education.

And this blog finally isn’t for people who just want to be told what is best for them. Only the individual can decide what is best for them.

With that, Who is this blog for?

This particular blog is for the many individuals who strive to learn more from life; the individuals who will not be held back on their journey to achieve the pinnacle of their dreams – their true dreams, and not the ones prescribed by society.

This blog is for individuals seeking to breakaway – to become their very best in every way shape and form.

This blog is for individuals who not only want a better world, but are willing to work for it and not lay stagnant waiting for change.

This blog is for individuals who wish to understand reality for what it is, no matter how uncomfortable it is, and not for the what the mainstream media matrix says it is.

This blog is for individuals that are not only willing to help themselves, but also willing to take others under their wing and help create a new culture – a new way of thinking.

Are you tired of the cookie cutter answers the establishment has ready-made for every single scenario that props up, but is never truly solved? Then this blog is for you.

Are you searching for answers as to why the world is screwed up and don’t seem to find any semblance of a viable meaningful solution proposed by the comptrollers then this blog is for you.

Have your instincts taught you not to trust the mainstream media institutions and corporations that lie to you repeatedly? Then this blog is certainly for you.

Now let’s take a side road for a bit.

People are often quick to tell you their likes and their dislikes. Regrettably, many a time we rarely hear an individual’s true passions if those particular dreams go against the grain. This is because some people often criticize everything that doesn’t conform to their particular reality and personal point of views, which prevents nonconforming individuals from opening up to them.  Moreover, this also prevents unique individuals from flourishing as they only share their passions at the outskirts of societal circles.

With all that in mind, what is it YOU want? What is it you truly want? What is it you are passionate about?  Are you living the life you wish for? If not, are you at least pushing beyond conventional thought to solve the issues preventing you from attaining and creating your reality and dreams?

It’s easy to live the comfortable life – the prescribed life. Unfortunately, that tends to get people in a funk, and often takes between months and years to realize, or worse. Heaven forbid you think outside the box.  Or better, that there is no box.

Thankfully, if you’ve read this far, you are either at the vanguard of the tidal wave of change that’s taking place in the undercurrents of our societal ocean, or ready for a significant change. You are the type of individual making changes, pushing against the grain, cracking bricks of conformity with toothpicks of rebellion that give globalists splitting headaches at night.  That is because you are the key to this whole enigma – the free individual, who this blog is for.

Being the only ship making berth towards a unique bearing, while the rest of the armada is anchored at the harbor can be quite daunting. It can seem you are not just the tip of the spear, but the entire spear itself, and can only count on yourself. You are your own help, your own protector – even your very own liberator. But isn’t what life is all about, about challenge? Thankfully, we are not alone in this journey. But some particular battles rest upon on you, and only you.  And how you choose to live your life is one of them.

It is you who ultimately holds the volition for the resounding choices to be made. It is you who will have the knack for success when the chance arises, or will learn from possible missteps on your path to knowledge and wisdom before reloading. It is you who has the brass stones to plow forth through the inferno of conformity, dislodging all obstacles in your path, and it is certainly you who are responsible for your life at the very end, so why not make the choices you want, live the life that you desire?

Striving to create something greater for yourself [and others] takes a lot of drive, inspiration, imagination and courage. It also requires a lot of effort and truck loads of focused intent, that when carried out efficiently leave will your naysayers in the star dust.

Best of all is that, as you learn and grow along your journey and breakaway from the conventional, the monotonous and the prescribed, you will grow and shine brighter as an individual, and the brighter you shine the easier it will be for you to guide others through the darkness.

And if such words resonate with you, then that’s why this blog is for you.
